This book is a real page turner. Game warden's throughout the U.S. put there lives on the line every day. Being out in the backwoods and approaching armed people often without backup can be quite hair raising. It's impressive how professionally these men and women conduct their investigations. Playing mental games with the suspect is obviously one of the most important tools that the game warden has at their disposal. Some of the stories were quite engaging.....I just wish some of them would have been a little longer and more in depth, but otherwise very well written. The thing that has amazed me for many years is that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania expects the game wardens to also be prosecutors, don't they realize that is not just one career but two. Attorney's go to school for many years and have to pass rigorous boards of law exams to work in the field. Amazing!Product details

Wonderfully written, attention to details in all aspects, very nice read
I've had fun reading Bill Wasserman's books on Game Warden adventures. From my own experiences I know how difficult, and dangerous, it is to so work a huge area with little or no backup and deal with armed suspects. However, it is an exciting career with many more pluses than minuses. Good job, Alderman, and enjoy your retirement. Steve Rogers, Wash. Fish & Wildlife, ret.
All books that I choose were delivered in good condition and have been enjoyed by the recipients and will now be shared with a game warden in Montana.
I like Bill Wasserman's writing style and the stories give me insight into the dark side of the hunting sport that I enjoy in PA. It is a quick read though and as a result, I'm left wanting to hear more of his tales. If you have ever hunted in PA and wonder what it's like to be a wildlife enforcement officer, this book is certainly for you.
